Supervisors of the Checklist

The Supervisors of the Nelson Checklist will meet from 11:00 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Nelson Town Offices to make additions and corrections to the voter checklist. No additions or corrections shall be made to the checklist after this session until election day.

NOTICE TO NELSON TOWN RESIDENTS

The following is a list of town positions to be voted on at our next town meeting – March 13, 2018.
The business portion of the meeting will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 10 AM

Selectmen ~ 1 position available for a three (3) year term
Moderator ~ 1 position available for a two (2) year term
Treasurer ~ 1 position available for a one (1) year term

Trustees of Trust Fund ~ 1 position available for a three (3) year term
Cemetery Board member ~ 2 positions available for a three (3) year term

Supervisors of the Checklist ~ 1 position available for a six (6) year term
Trustees of the Library ~ 1 position available for a three (3) year term
Planning Board ~ 2 positions available for a three (3) year term
Zoning Board of Adjustment ~ 3 positions available for a three (3) year term

Road Equipment Committee ~ 1 position available for a three (3) year term
Emergency Management Officer ~ 1 position available for a one (1) year term

INTERESTED CANDIDATES MAY FILE AT THE TOWN OFFICE ON THE FOLLOWING DATES:
JANUARY 25 & 30 AND FEBRUARY 1 & 2
FROM 9 AM TO NOON AND 4 TO 7 PM ON TUESDAYS,
9 AM TO NOON ON THURSDAYS

All candidates who file on the last day of the filing period shall do so in person before the town clerk. RSA 669:10 through RSA 669:19. The Town Office will be open on February 2 from 3 to 5 pm to accommodate you.

9/14/2017 ~ One Selectman’s Report

Hello everyone,
It’s been far too long since I’ve reported to you on the work of your Select Board since Town Meeting. As you may recall, you approved funding for many projects for 2017; drilling a new well, completing fire code compliance work, purchasing and outfitting a government surplus heavy duty truck for our Highway Department, doing energy conservation work in all our town buildings, and installing three dry hydrants.
